#Scotland17 Day Ten: The boy in the rain

“Only a select few are able to see the true beauty that lies behind what just might seem like a rainy day or a grey sky.” – Jessica M. Laar

It was a VERY rainy start to the day and so we piled into the car and hit Lerwick, one of my favourite town centres. Whilst very small and warren like there are some great finds such as Shetland Fudge; Shetland Soap Company; The Shetland Times Book Shop; and Harry’s Department Store. One day I’ll write a shopping guide or something!

This afternoon I did some baking and cooked dinner, generally taking it quite easy and relaxing as the weather turned back to the sunshine I’ve come to expect on the isles. A lovely evening chilling at the front of the house overlooking the sea is on the cards.

Shetlandic word of the day: DOONTÖM – a downpour of rain.
